If you’re seeking a first-hand, unboxed experience of the Mfavour office chair review, you’ve come to the right place. This article is tailored for you, so keep reading.

As members of our team, including myself, spend a significant amount of time seated, we required a chair that offers both comfort and support beyond what basic chairs can provide.

After conducting thorough research on various options, the Mfavour ergonomic office chair stood out with its positive reviews and impressive range of features. Intrigued by its potential, we decided to purchase and put the Mfavour chair to the test alongside other contenders.

Throughout our testing period, we discovered both noticeable shortcomings and remarkable highlights of the Mfavour chair. It boasts satisfactory ergonomics, considering its price point, making it suitable for long-sitting sessions.

However, it is important to note that the chair has height range limitations, accommodating individuals up to 5 feet 10 inches in height.

Mfavour Office Chair: Our Packaging And Assembly Experience

The unexpectedly modest size of the package was the first thing that drew my eye when it arrived. The package was manageable and compact, averaging 15.8 kg. See the picture below.

The weight of the package was manageable, and I had no trouble putting it together on my own. This first advantageous feature was undoubtedly a good beginning.

When I got upstairs, I saw that the package had slight scratches in a few places, which at first worried me.

I was happy to discover that everything inside was in excellent shape as I started to unload, though.

The manufacturer had taken care to individually wrap each component in bubble wrap to safeguard it during shipping. See the picture below.

The use of cardboard dividers also successfully avoided any hits between the parts.

During testing, we found one primary weakness is the instruction manual’s poor translation. I continued with the chair’s real assembly despite the deficiencies of the guidebook.

Also, further difficulties as a result of the poor directions and the lack of directional markings (front/back, top/bottom) on the various components.

Particularly challenging for me was the installation of the armrests, which required more focused calculations to establish the proper connection places.

Furthermore, attaching the large backrest alone to the seat required gripping both components while tightening the screws, which was a difficult operation.

Overall, it assembly was satisfactory but was not enjoyable.

Mfavour Office Chair: Ergonomic Standard And Height Range

In terms of the ergonomic standard, I found the Mfavour office chair to be a good balance of ergonomics and quality parts as tested.

The chair is designed to support the back and promote good posture, which is crucial for long hours of work. The adjustable features of the chair allow you to customize it according to your body type, providing support in all the right places as per price.

However, one drawback I noticed with the Mfavour office chair is its seat depth. The seat depth is not adjustable, which may pose a problem for a few users with different body shapes and sizes. It may not fit everyone big and tall perfectly, and some users may find it uncomfortable due to this limitation.

Moving on to the height range, the Mfavour Office Chair has a seat height of 3.93 inches, which makes it suitable for people of different heights. The gas lift feature allows easy adjustment of the seat height, catering to the needs of both short and average users. This versatility makes it suitable for various settings, from home offices to corporate environments.

However, the chair’s height range is limited, and it may not be the ideal choice for taller individuals. The backrest of the chair may be too short for taller people, and the arms do not adjust to accommodate their different proportions. This can result in discomfort and even pain over time for taller users.

Overall, though the Mfavour office chair offers a decent height range but with a limited specific height range (between 5’2″ and 6’0″).

Mfavour Office Chair: Comfort Quality And Support Controls

Beginning with insights into Mfavour’s comfort quality, we found it really good during the testing process.

The cushion thickness of 3.93 inches which is around 10 cm falls within the recommended range for an ergonomic chair, providing a supportive yet comfortable seating experience. See the picture below.

view of mfavour office chair comfort quality and support controls

The firmness of the cushion strikes the right balance, preventing discomfort from a hard surface while maintaining its shape over time. The padding is adequate to prevent overheating and sweating without causing sinking or pain in the buttocks.

The materials used in the chair, including the metal parts, base, and piston, contribute to its overall quality. The chair made us feel solid and durable, instilling confidence in its longevity.

The mesh backrest adapts well to the lumbar region, providing firm and well-ventilated support. While the armrests are wide enough for resting arms, they could be softer for enhanced comfort.

However, it’s worth noting that the fabrics used, including the mesh backrest, have a slightly rough texture, which may be a drawback for some users seeking a softer feel.

One significant flaw during testing we found in terms of comfort is the neck support. Despite the presence of an adjustable headrest, it proves to be practically useless due to the chair’s inclined backrest.

Resting the head against the headrest while working becomes difficult, requiring users to lean forward, which can be uncomfortable during long hours of work.

Furthermore, support controls are adequate to hold me, an average-weight user, throughout the day.

The cushion located at the base of the spine allowed me to support to my liking, ensuring that my lower back was well-supported throughout the day.

I also appreciated the design of the backrest, which had a curve that naturally aligned with the shape of my spine. This feature not only provided added support but also encouraged me to sit with a better posture.

It made a noticeable difference in reducing strain on my back, especially during extended work sessions as compared to the cheaper chair before.

Mfavour Office Chair: Seating Surface

The spacious seating surface, measuring 18.9 inches in width, provides ample room for me to move around and find a comfortable position. I appreciate the fact that I never feel cramped while sitting in this chair, testing while working or relaxing for long periods.

However, I can understand that individuals with smaller body frames might find the broad seat less stable.

The waterfall-edge design of the chair’s seat is a delightful feature. It feels as if I’m being cradled by a gentle waterfall, providing a pleasant and comforting sensation.

I find this design particularly soothing during moments of relaxation without giving more butt pressure. Moreover, the waterfall edge seat adds a plus point to the chair’s versatility.

The ability to lock the backrest in three different positions was another welcomed feature involving the switching between upright, slightly reclined, and fully reclined positions.

The locking mechanism ensures stability and allows me to secure the chair at different reclining positions within the range of 90° to 135°.

Mfavour Office Chair: Armrest And Head Motion

After using Mfavour’s armrest and headrest for several weeks, we found armrests offer a limited degree of flexibility or range of motion. Although they lack independent height and depth adjustment, they do provide some support for the elbows and forearms. This is an area to improve significantly.

The padded armrests are designed to rotate outward, which can be advantageous for individuals seeking increased arm comfort and control over their workspace.

However, it’s important to note that the lack of customization of only 2D options limits the chair’s ability to cater to specific comfort needs.

When it comes to head support, the Mfavour office chair features an adjustable headrest that can be moved up and down. In certain improved models, like the one I experienced, the headrest can also be rotated to a 45-degree angle.

I personally found the headrest support to be particularly useful only during short breaks from work or when reclining to a specific angle without needing to leave the chair.

Mfavour Office Chair: Caster And Affordability

Moving on to our experiences with casters of a Mfavour office chair. The inclusion of brakes prevents the chair from rolling when not in use, adding an extra layer of functionality.

However, one drawback I noticed is the lack of specific information about the type of casters used. While they work well on my floor, it would have been beneficial to have universal casters suitable for all types of flooring.

This could limit the chair’s suitability for users with different types of floors in their workspace.

When it comes to affordability, the Mfavour office chair offers a reasonable price without compromising on quality, comfort, and style.

Although the chair may initially appear costly, upon closer inspection and comparison with more expensive models, it becomes evident that the price is quite reasonable.

It provides the necessary ergonomic features, a well-designed structure, and versatility, making it a worthwhile investment. To find the best deal for purchasing the Mfavour chair, I recommend visiting popular online stores such as the Mfavour store itself, Amazon, and eBay.

Downsides Of The Mfavour Ergonomic Office Chair

We have encountered some drawbacks during testing with the Mfavour ergonomic office chair that is worth considering before making a purchase.

  • Not suitable for tall individuals over 5’10” in height, as head and shoulder support may be inadequate.
  • Non-adjustable seat depth can be problematic for taller or shorter individuals, limiting customization for different body types.
  • Limited models have adjustable lumbar support, which may not meet specific ergonomic needs.
  • Lacks space-saving features, which can be an issue for those with limited office or workspace.
  • Lower models may have basic armrest adjustment without padding, affecting comfort during extended sitting.
  • The fluctuating price of the Mfavour chair makes it difficult to predict costs and plan a budget
  • Low seat height range (approximately 2.7 inches practically) may strain legs and back, potentially leading to knee and hip pain.
  • A limited range of colors, typically black or grey, may not offer diverse aesthetic options compared to other chairs in the market.

Why The mfavour ergonomic office chair Should Be A Choice?

  • Variety of models available at different price points.
  • Easy assembly with well-labeled screws and ample instructional videos.
  • Affordable price when purchased from online stores.
  • Meets ergonomic standards for comfortable extended sitting.
  • Provides excellent comfort quality for average weight individuals.
  • Impressive reclining range between 90° to 135°.

Conclusion: Verdict

In conclusion, the Mfavour office chair offers a range of features and benefits that make it a worthy consideration for anyone in need of an ergonomic seating solution. With its spacious seating surface, waterfall edge design, and adjustable reclining options, the chair provides comfort and support for both work and relaxation. While there are some limitations, such as the non-adjustable seat depth and limited customization options for taller individuals, the chair’s affordability, ease of assembly, and adherence to ergonomic standards make it an attractive choice. Overall, the Mfavour office chair is a solid option for those seeking a comfortable, reasonably priced, and functional seating solution for their workspace.
